Miss Sekhukhune district crowned at Cappello
In her acceptance speech Kgwedi thanked her family and friends for their support. She also vowed to represent the district where she was needed.
BURGERSFORT – Cappello was the place to be recently as local beauties participated in the Miss Sekhukhune Distict Municipality (SDM) pageant.
The event was attended by officials from the the municipality, including and included the mayor, Cllr David Magabe.
After hours of parading and wowing the crowds , Obakeng Kgwedi was awarded the crown of Miss Sekhukhune.
In her acceptance speech Kgwedi thanked her family and friends for their support. She also vowed to represent the district where she was needed.
“I will cherish the crown, and represent the Sekhukhune region well. This is one of the best things to have happened in my life ,” the thrilled beauty said.
Magabe said the municipality cared about the needs and development of local youths.
“We planned this initiative in order to develop our youths and to allow them to showcase their hidden talents. We hope Kgwedi will be a good ambassador to the people of Sekhukhune.
