Local beauty brings the crown home
The pageant took place over the weekend. Contestants competed in different categories including interviews, casual wear, cat-walk and a talent competition.
STEELPOORT – A local beauty, Marlize Comley (17), a learner at Lydenburg High School, participated in the Mini Miss RSA beauty pageant last weekend at ATKV Buffelspoort Resort in Rustenburg. She was crowned Miss Congeniality in her age group.
The pageant took place over the weekend. Contestants competed in different categories including interviews, casual wear, cat-walk and a talent competition.
Her younger sister, Liezel, also reached the finals of the same pageant. Their mother, Lizmarie Comley, says she is very proud of them. “Marlize is living her dream of competing in pageants and Liezel considers her older sister her role model,” she said.
