BURGERSFORT – With Thaba Moshate Hotel Casino and Convention Resort which formally opened in April, this Peermont investment has since widely upgraded and bloomed with the official opening of the Thabeng Boma on Tuesday night.
The Thabeng Boma is the newly built venue above the pool area, between the nature surroundings of Thaba Moshate. The Morone Mountain, blue sky and plant habitat surrounding the boma creates a rustic and traditional feeling that will enthuse visitors with a relaxing atmosphere.
Mr James French, the landscape architect who designed the venue said he wanted to create a place that was out in the open where people could get away from their day-to-day schedules and just look up in the majestic African sky, while enjoying the bushveld feeling. He also designed a 1,5-kilometre hiking trial next to the Morone Mountain. The trial starts and ends near the boma. He added that it was created for Thaba Moshate guests to enjoy the natural surroundings that the casino complex had to offer.
“The boma can also be hired for private functions and we will have shuttle minibuses that will drive the guests to the boma to make it easier accessible for them if they do not wish to walk through the landscape. It is a place where visitors can have a relaxed evening from sundown to the late hours. I think the good thing is that we can customise the experience. You could imagine yourself being anywhere in the country once inside the boma. Thaba Moshate is here for the long run and we appreciate and encourage people to support it,” said Mr Clifford Ngakane, general manager of Thaba Moshate.
Mr Jerry Mamabolo, one of the guests at the Thabeng Boma opening said the venue was absolute stunning.
Ngakane also added that the community could look forward to a new beauty spa and conference centre that will open at Thaba Moshate in December.
