A first for Curro Nelspruit

MBOMBELA – Curro Nelspruit held it’s first-ever matric celebrations on Friday October 16.

The ceremony was an opportunity for the school to bid the grade 12s farewell. Curro wished each and every one of its founding matrics well for their final exams and their future.

Learners were honoured for their excellence in various fields of study. Beate Parfitt was elected as dux with an overall aggregate of 84 per cent.

The school also announced new heads of school for 2016 – Annabel Rood (head girl), Christopher Kettrick (head boy), Atoosa Amel (deputy head girl) and Pierre Dorey (deputy head boy).

Martin Garnett-Bennett, the current head boy, was honoured with the Curro Character Award sponsored by The Rest Nature Estate for his all-round achievements and commitment in all facets of school. He was also jointly given the Leadership Award with Bianca du Plooy for their outstanding leadership throughout the year.
