BURGERSFORT – The top achievers of Laerskool Burgersfort were rewarded for their hard work throughout the year at the school’s annual prize-giving ceremony last week. The event was divided in a junior and senior section and was held over two days. Learners were recognised for academic achievements, certificates for neatness, public speaking, sport and prefects for next year. They also announced the head and deputy head boys and girls at the function.

Numerous local businessmen and -women were invited to hand over the certificates and trophies to the learners. The grade sevens closed the ceremony by entertaining the audience with a few songs while throwing rose petals as a gesture of saying farewell to start their high-school journey next year.
