Adventure Club explores MacMac Pools

The grades one to four pupils of Summerhill Prep’s Adventure Club took a dip in the MacMac Pools on October 31 as part of their club activities.

Teachers and about 24 children of Summerhill Prep School’s Adventure Club hiked up a short trail and explored the wonder of nature at the Mac Mac Pools on October 31.

Birds, different types of rock formations, insects, lizards and a snake spotted swimming across the pool, kept the party alerted and entertained.

After the hike everyone enjoyed hotdogs, and marshmallows for dessert.

The highlight of the day was swimming and exploring the rock pools. The group caught, examined and released tadpoles, frogs and crabs.

Adventure Club activities are voluntary and organised once a term. The activities are a good way for pupils to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and have fun and play while learning outside the classroom.
