Calvinites participate in athletics

BURGERSFORT- Not even the scorching heat disturbed Calvin College learners when they competed in the in-house athletics.The games were held at the schools’s sports grounds on February 13 and attended by the proud parents and various sponsors.The participants competed in relays, long jump, shot put and short- and long- distance running. “It was hot but the children enjoyed it,’ the organisers said. The participants were divided in two teams, the Tigers and the Lions. Learners from grade R to -six participated on the day.. They competed in relay, shot put, hurdles, high jump, long jump, short and long distance runs. Winners were awarded with congratulatory cards, certificates and medals.
