Local youngsters to take on coveted Cape Town Cycle Tour
Constant Fürstenburg, Donald Hlatse, Bongani Ngwana, Karabo Malatjie, Branden Kruger, CJ Erasmus, Benine Botha and Luché Botha are getting ready to cycle in the biggest race in the world.
Eight cyclists of Lydenburg will participate in the Cape Town Cycle Tour (formerly known as the Cape Argus Cycle Tour) on March 6 in Cape Town.
Constant Fürstenburg, Donald Hlatse, Bongani Ngwana, Karabo Malatjie, Branden Kruger, CJ Erasmus, Benine Botha and Luché Botha are getting ready to cycle in the biggest race in the world.
About 35 000 competitors from all over the globe will partake in this challenging race of 109 kilometres. The local team will be under the guidance of Chris and Lucille Botha.
Their flight to Cape Town has been financially supported through contributions from Bison Falls Spur. According to Mr Powers Motsileng, of PNP Group and Bison Falls Spur, they have witnessed the performance of these cyclists before and know their potential.
They are, however, still in need of financial assistance to fund the rest of the things they will need for the tour.
