Google play movies comes to South Africa

With Google Play, you can find, enjoy and share your favourite books, games, apps and music on your phone, tablet or computer.

Giant search engine Google announced that Google Play Movies is now available in South Africa.

With Google Play, you can find, enjoy and share your favourite books, games, apps and music on your phone, tablet or computer.

“Today we’re adding movies for rental or purchase to Google Play in South Africa, including hundreds of high-definition, full-length feature films from all the major Hollywood studios,”said Google in a statement.

Movies are available for rent and purchase at competitive pricing starting at R19, 99. For most movies, you’ll have 30 days to begin watching your rental, and, once you start watching, you have 48 hours to finish.

Last month, Netflix, the world’s largest streaming video provider launched in South Africa.
