Prep pupils have whale of a time at the seaside

Three days packed with water activities awaited the grade four to seven pupils of Riverview Prep during a three-night stay at Sugar Bay in Zinkwazi on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal last week.

MALALANE – Led and mentored by an extremely enthusiastic and dedicated group of young counsellors, a group of Riverview Prep pupils enjoyed, among others, kayaking, stand-up paddling, body boarding, paintball, wall climbing, zip lining, jewellery making, snorkelling and beach art.

Daily activities started with the crossing of the lagoon in a barge to reach the sea, and the fun didn’t end until the sun set that evening.

In the evenings the pupils were busy with skits and stunts, minute-to-win-it games and finally a farewell party.

It was a weary, but most-privileged and happy group of 65 children who returned to Malalane at the end of the week, better for their experiences.
