Summerhill gets the young and old active

Parents join Interhouse soccer and netball.

Summerhill Prep School held an interhouse soccer and netball day on Saturday May 14. Apart from the usual matches, the parents played netball against the open girls and the boys took their parents on in soccer.
The netball participants also engaged in a game called “shoot-outs”, where parents had to catch a ball from their daughters and shoot a goal. On the soccer field, the older generation had to try to score a goal against their sons, who acted as goalkeepers. The various teams gave their all to impress their kids.
The winning team narrowly took the honours. The Sunbirds beat the Loeries by one point. Quality time was spent with parents and children.
