Pupils could bring along their grandmothers and -fathers for a picnic and some musical entertainment on the school ground.

Guest were sitting under gazebos in front of the stage, on the school stands and wherever there was shade available. Some of the boys played rugby while others raced one another while carrying a friend on their backs.
Marena Buitendag, who handles marketing for the school, said the day was aimed at getting the community involved.
“All in all, it is a fun day for the kids. It is also a great opportunity to get families to come together for a good bonding session. Families are important to us at Bergland,” she said.
