Golfers compete for the highest score on greens

Tubatse Chrome golf Club was the place to be this past weekend as sport fanatics enjoyed a day on the greens.

On Saturday the Individual Point Stableford (IPS) competition took place. The golfers teed off as early as 07:00 and played till 13:00.

The winners on the day were Peter Lavelle, Deon du Plessis and Johan Dreyer. Du Plessis won the B-division while Lavelle successfully clinched the C-division.

Stableford is a scoring system used in the sport of golf. Rather than counting the total number of strokes taken, as in stroke play, it involves scoring points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole. Unlike traditional scoring methods, where the aim is to have the lowest score, under Stableford rules, the objective is to have the

highest score.
