A passion for good quality home-style food and pub grub drove owner managers Greg and Tracey Austin to establish GumTreez Pub & Grill in 2009. And it’s clearly a passion – the couple are both hands on in the restaurant and are always to be seen greeting patrons and working the tables, ensuring customers are served and happy.
Their personal service, together with the friendly atmosphere and good food is the draw card for this bustling, vibey restaurant.
An expansive menu caters to most tastes and the Austins are savvy restaurateur – by creating separate seating areas, they’ve managed to offer different eating experiences, thus broadening the Gumtreez offering.
The popular deck and boma zone is perfect for families with children and pets (yes, they allow fur babies!) and party animals, while the indoor dining room suits more formal occasions. Both the dining room and boma areas can be booked for group functions and an array of catering options to suit your needs.
Regular specials and promotions are ongoing, Tracey advises customers to keep an eye on their Facebook page, or ask your waitron what’s up for the day.
Seeing a gap in town for good pizza, Greg and Tracey opened up LemonTreez next door, a take away pizza establishment that also delivers. The delivery service is available for the GumTreez menu as well.
