Nkomazi Fuel & Oil expands to Kathu in the Northern Cape

Nkomazi Fuel & Oil has opened a branch in Kathu in the Northern Cape. The company is now operational in six provinces.

“Our vision is to become South Africa’s most respected independent energy business,” general manager Deon Valks explained.

Nkomazi Group of Companies is a major role player in the fuel and lubricants industry. It was established in Mpumalanga in 2001. Aside from Mpumalanga and the Northern Cape, it also operates in Gauteng, the Western Cape, Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal.

Nkomazi owns several fully-fledged retail operations across Mpumalanga and Mozambique and operates wholesale fuel depots across South Africa and Mozambique. The depots operate as customer collection, but also deliver on-site to its customers.

Nkomazi Lubricants distributes more than 100 tons per month in Mpumalanga alone. On contract, it distributes over 500 tons per month to warehouses.

“Our supply varies from mining, agriculture, industrial and the transport industry. Our substantial in-house fleet carts 80% of the products and is operated as a separate division within the group.” The Nkomazi Group is fully independent and handles all sectors of the industry in-house.

“We have our own construction division that builds and revamps filling stations, as well as technical teams that install and maintain our equipment for commercial clients. We are in the process of setting up our own gas-filling
plant in Malalane to expand our gas division into South Africa. We are also targeting the aviation industry for oil and fuel supply into Africa,” Valks said.

It offers customers high-quality services in terms of reliable supply, on-site technical expertise and unmatched customer service in its retail, wholesale, lubricant, logistics, construction and aviation divisions.

“Our values of service delivery, honesty, integrity and respect for people underpin all the work we do,” Valks stated. “The foundation of our business is that we uphold these values. These values are crucial to our success and growth as ethical actions drive each and every employee.”
