
Seven White River Primary pupils recently took part in the Gauteng Biathlon championships in Pretoria.
All the athletes did well, with Michael Swanepoel and Amé Quinn scoring above 2 200 points.
What made this biathlon unique was that parents could compete in the same competition as their children.

• Parents that competed were Jaco Lubbe, who finished third (2 209 points) in the open category for senior men, Jubellien Marshall who was third (1 623 points) and Mercia Knight fourth (1 520 points) in the ladies veteran category.
