Flamboyant athletes make their mark

Thirty pupils of Flamboyant School participated across the field at the recent independent schools athletics at Uplands.

Daniel Aucamp won a silver medal and Langa Mashego a gold for high jump.

Jaden Boltman obtained a gold medal in his 200-metre sprint and Tian van Niekerk a bronze in his 60-metre sprint.
Flamboyant had a good number of near-fourth places and is proud of all its athletes who participated. “We are honoured as a school to have displayed positive attitudes and great sportsmanship!” said headmaster Gail van der Riet. “Thank you to all parents and everybody who was there to support.”

* Christiaan Bezuidenhout of the school also did well in the recent Lowveld Tennis Tournament. He achieved a second place in the boys u/11 tourney.
