Spoil Dad this Father’s Day weekend by taking him to the Wild & Wyn Fees at Badplaas

Badplaas, A Forever Resort’s first festival (Oppiplaas Musiekfees by Badplaas) started in December 2010 and has expanded every year since. The festival now includes a flea market, beer tent and a selection of top SA Artists. It is becoming a favourite event among guests.

2016 saw the debut launch of their very own Beerfest and 2017 their first Wild & Wyn Fees. The resort’s mission is to create a larger profile of tourism visitors to Mpumalanga with each annual festival held by putting the region on the map, and secondly to create a buzz around local SA beer crafters, artists, performers and craft traders.

The Wild & Wyn Fees is a one-day festival primarily showcasing different venison dishes paired with various wines in an open air festival set-up. The wines showcased will be for sale at the event. Each festivalgoer will also receive a free wine tasting glass on entering. The venison will be sourced from their own Nature Reserve and the Proudly South African dishes will be cooked and served by the resort management team.

The festival gates will open at 11:00 and close at 17:00 with the wine and venison tasting from 11:00 to 14:00. While sipping on wine, festivalgoers can relax and enjoy live performances by the Eva Morgan Band, Richard van der Westhuizen and Len Muller. The festival also includes local craft traders, a kiddies corner and a beer garden.

Accommodation at this resort comprises hotel rooms, 2- to 8-sleeper self-catering rondavels, chalets, log cabins and 2 guest houses. All units are fully serviced with air conditioning and selected satellite television channels. For the outdoor enthusiast they offer a shady caravan and camping park overlooking the Nature Reserve.
