ONVERWACHT – There are sports stars among Modikwa Platinum Mine’s staff. This was evident when hundreds of the mine’s employees participated in various sporting activities last Wednesday. This was part of the mine’s annual wellness campaign in which it encouraged workers to take part in various sports such as cycling, marathon running and walking.
The miners gathered at the Montrose Sports Field where netball and the five-a-side soccer competition were presented.
Buses ferried the employees as early as 12:00 to have them ready on time for the games.
