Organisation aims to find Tubatse’s talents

BURGERSFORT – A Praktiseer lad aims to unearth local talent and expose it to outsiders.
Brian Magabe (24) registered a non-profit organisation (NPO) in July and named it Local Talent Search. “We aim to help youth in local communities to reach their goals. We have realised most don’t know any procedures to market themselves and advertise their skills to relevant organisations, so we aim to help them in reaching greater heights,” Magabe told Steelburger/Lydenburg News. He runs the NPO with long-time friend, Thakgatso Menyatso.
He reiterated that the organisation focuses on the development of local youth.
“We have so many youth abusing drugs and alcohol. They are neglecting their God-given talents. Tubatse can produce actors, soccer players and artists. All they need is proper guidance.”
Just weeks after the NPO was registered, they have already arranged trials for three local soccer players. The players are currently trying their luck with Magesi FC, Tornado FC and Baberwa FC. The three teams are competing in the third-tier ABC Motsepe league.
“We encourage the youth to interact with us on social media platforms and invite us to events. We wish to see people of Tubatse succeed. We plead with the local businesses to help us raise funds so that we would be able to help more people achieve their dreams.”
