Unathi Ngomane was announced Numbi Primary’s dux learner at the school’s recent prize-giving.
Thlotlo Ratshwene was the sports boy of the year and Criolie Katambwe sports girl of the year.

The prizes for best academic achievement went to Becky Shepheard (grade four), Keegan Clark (grade five), Unathi Ngomane and René Potgieter (grade six) and Ailene van Staden and Hector-Jnr Kgomo (grade seven).
Thlotlo Ratshwene and Jabo Mathebula were awarded for their achievements in sports and culture.
Criolie was the best girls’ hockey player of the year and Thlotlo Ratshwene the best boys’ hockey player of the year.
Criolie was also the senior victrix ludorum for athletics, while Golden Marule was the senior victor ludorum for athletics.
The best rugby players of the year were Tyla Sheppard (u/10), Kantini Maunye (u/11) and Thlotlo Ratshwene (u/13).
Criolie, Golden Marule, Hector-Jnr, Khanyisa Nyezi and Thando Mokoena were recognised for being Ehlanzeni representatives in athletics in 2018.
Daniël Ferreira and Juan De Bruno Austin were recognised for their involvement and assistance with projects at Land Service.
More Land Service awards included:
Grade four – Capricorn award: Engela Alberts and Kamogelo Chiloane (four years).
Grade six – Accolade: Rocco van der Merwe and Hendrik-Louis Steyl (three years) and Daniël Ferreira (six years).
Grade seven – Silver award: Mickayla du Toit, Jaun De Bruno Austin and Naledi Mashile (four years), De Wet Myburgh, Ailene van Staden and Bianca Ngubeni (six years).
Special gold award: Provincial colours and excellent leadership: Daniël Ferreira and Juan De Bruno Austin.
