BURGERSFORT – The case against two Pakistani nationals accused of murdering Precious Magabane (33) has been postponed to April 12 for further investigation. Magabane, who was a teacher at Kabishi Primary School, was last seen on December 23.

Raza Ali (24) and Chema Ashan Fraza (28) appeared in the Praktiseer Magistrate’s Court last Friday on charges of murder, kidnapping, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, as well as possession of suspected stolen property.

The two are accused of murdering Magabane, whose dismembered body was found scattered at different places along the Burgersfort/Lydenburg Road by police.

According to her family, some body parts are still missing.

Police said the Pakistani nationals refused an interpreter when they appeared in court.

The police’s Motlafela Mojapelo said, “In court, when they appeared, they didn’t want to make an application for bail, but the state had to postpone the case for further investigation. Both suspects were remanded in custody,” Mojapelo revealed.

Outside the court, locals reiterated that justice should prevail. The Magabane family pleaded for support from locals and said they hope all those who might have been involved will face the wrath of the law.
