This year’s Marlothi Easter Festival will have something for everyone
Marlothi Shopping Centre will be packed with stalls, exhibitions and live entertainment during the annual Marlothi Easter Fair on April 20.

It is hosted over the Easter weekend to give visitors the chance to experience the best Marloth has to offer. The fair also provides a platform for local entrepreneurs and organisations to present their wares, work and services to the public and gets the community together for a good time.

There will once again be a variety of stalls selling food or drink or products like crafts, jewellery and art. Over 30 stalls have already booked their spots. This year, a winery from Hermanus in the Western Cape will also be exhibiting their unique wines.

This year’s live musical entertainment will be a local band, to be announced closer to the date.
A portion of the money raised at the Easter Fair will be donated to local non-profit organisations.

Nicci Burger and Ntombi Ngomane have been working behind the scenes for the past few years to ensure its smooth running. They run the Marlothi Centre’s curio shop, which consist of an internet café, post office, provides general information and sells stationary, curios and clothing.

There are a total of 522 post boxes, with 278 still available. The store also offers services such as typing, laminating and printing and has a book exchange for avid readers.

Marlothi Shopping Centre also features a filling station, bottle store, butchery, bakery, shop and the Tin Shack Restaurant and the staff say owners Sharon and Dalwyn MacDonald make them feel like family.
