Founders Eve celebrated with flair

Uplands founders, board members, staff, parents, friends, and pupils recently gathered in the college hall to celebrate Founders Evening.

Gary Sim, the executive headmaster welcomed everybody present after which pupils entertained guests with an impressive cultural extravaganza.

From little pre-preparatory ballerinas to outstanding musical performers contributed, from “A Star is Born” to “The Show Must Go On” by Queen.

The music and dance programme included items on guitar, piano, drums, ensembles, solo vocals, ballet, a hip-hop dance, choir performances and group dances.

As a tradition, the annual candle lighting ceremony also took place, with the distinction that it was designed to incorporate the college headmistress, Heidi Rea, the preparatory headmaster, Dave Ernstzen, and the pre-preparatory headmistress, Heather Prior, this year.
