Epic Youth Ministry’s Friday nights will never be the same again
This youth organisation from the Rehobot Church in Voortrekker Street is helping troubled youth to pick up their broken pieces of hope.

According to the youth leader, Lucinda le Roux the organisation is setting aside Friday nights for counselling with the ultimate goal of leading them to Christ.
“It takes plenty of time and effort from everyone involved, but we have a very committed team that’s up for the challenge.”
“Our Friday night gatherings are the cornerstone of Epic Youth Ministry. Each week is designed to be relational in nature. Every Friday night is different, we have a set programme for the evening, starting off with fun icebreakers or games. This is the key to building healthy relationships among each other, followed by praise and worship to encounter and experience the life-changing presence of God and then digging into scripture with a very serious Holy Spirit inspired message or revelation,” said Le Roux.

“The main purpose of the ministry is to lead young people to Christ, creating an alternative safe environment where we can help them to be an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity
(1 Timothy 4:12b) and help them to develop these areas by becoming an example to be followed.
“Young people are confused and distracted by drugs, alcohol abuse and sexual immorality, leading to unwanted pregnancies, and ending in abortions. Even though there are a lot of young people that do want to change, they are getting distracted by friends that are pressuring them to do things they are not comfortable with, and to not lose their friends, they are doing it too,” she added.
The youth gatherings take place every Friday night from 19:00 to 21:00. If you don’t have transport, don’t worry, the Epic taxi will pick you up and drop you off at the church. Epic Youth Ministry is challenging non-believing or atheist teenagers to come and experience God for themselves.
After the great success of last year’s Epic Youth Conference that was held next to Lydenburg Toyota, another conference will be taking place again this year. More details will be released soon.
