Hamburger competition a huge success

Spekboom Meat Market presented a burger competition where customers could build their own burgers. This was done to involve the community and promote itself.

Eighteen contestants competed at the butchery at Jocks Country Stalls on Saturday.
The butchery also hosted a braai with its suppliers, where staff took turns to braai for customers.

Spekboom supplied the meat for the hamburgers. Competitors did not go home empty-handed, as some of them won spices sponsored by the butchery’s suppliers.

Elaine Goldstone walked away as winner of the competition, while Inger Chester-Brown came second and Laurie Jacobs third.
The promotion is set to take place at the end of every month.
