One robber shot dead, three arrested in Ga Masha

BURGERSFORT – One of the four armed robbers,who robbed a store at the Twin City complex was killed in a shootout with the police on Monday. The alleged robbers were cornered along the road between Steel bridge and Ga Masha soon after they robbed the store an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects were allegedly pulled off the road near Ga -Masha village, but they immediately started shooting at the SAPS who retaliated and subsequently, one of the suspects was fatally wounded and his three accomplices arrested. During the arrest, the following items were recovered, one motor vehicle, two firearms and a bag containing an undisclosed amount of money.
