High speed chase through three towns
The suspects fled the scene, but one was track down by Phoenix after jumping over a residential yard.
LYDENBURG – A high speed chase led to the arrest of one suspect just after 22:00 tonight (Thursday).
Information was received that a white Toyota Corolla was hijacked in Middleburg making its way though Belfast, Dullstroom and Lydenburg.
Phoenix Security and Cartrack immediately gave chase and a shootout between the security company and the suspects ensued.
Phoenix managed to apprehend one suspect after the vehicle was rammed by the security company, forcing it to a standstill.
The suspects fled the scene, but one was track down by Phoenix after jumping over a residential yard.
Officials are still at the scene and the search for the other suspects continue.
