SPCA sends out urgent plea
They also have a monthly Sponsor-a-Kennel initiative and call on businesses to assist with this.

The local SPCA once again appeals to pet lovers to consider adoption when making the decision to get a new pet. Many of these animals come from homes where little to no attention was given to their well-being, and being placed in a loving home with a family who puts their needs first is the first step towards rehabilitation for them.
Pets are a welcome addition to any family and make great companions for children and adults alike. The SPCA’s food reserves are low and the animals currently housed in its kennels need to be fed to maintain their health. As a result of this, it is appealing to the public to contact them on the details provided for donations.

The SPCA chairman, Lize Pienaar said, “Our monthly donations have taken a knock. We are struggling to pay our running expenses. We appeal to the community and businesses for donations.
