Golf with a purpose, come and help a young man out

Join golf players tomorrow, July 20, to raise much needed funds for a young man to regain his hearing.

Tiaan Smuts suffers from a rare condition called cholesteatoma. It is a destructive and expanding growth that affects the middle ear. Although not cancerous, cholesteatoma can destroy the bones of the middle ear eventually affecting the skull and penetrating through to the brain.

Smuts’ only hope to regain his hearing is a BAHA (bone conduction hearing aid) implant. This unfortunately costs a lot of money. By holding the golf fundraiser, Smuts and his family hope to raise as much funds as possible. An auction will take place afterwards and great prizes could be won.

If you want to take part, join the Smuts family at Tubatse Chrome Golf Club at 08:00.
Tee sponsors are R2 500 and players can enter for only R300 per person. Queries: Marietjie Smuts 082-824-5043 or Liezel Smuts 060-760-3641.
