Northam Booysendal Mine indeed cares about education and the well-being of pupils. This was evident when the mine donated chairs and desks to both Lydenburg and Lesodi primary schools.
The mine commenced with its donations for Mandela Month on Wednesday morning, visiting the two schools to officially hand over the furniture, which will contribute to the physical and mental welfare of the pupils.

While handing over desks and chairs, Booysendal Mine’s General Manager, Wonderboy Kekana emphasised that children are the future of the country.
“I am glad to officially hand over these sets of desks and chairs to the two schools,” Kekana said.
“The addition of furniture is vital for promoting a more conducive learning environment for the pupils and staff members of Lesodi and Lydenburg primary schools. We take pride in working with local communities on projects such as these, which aim to achieve sustainable development in our local communities,” he concluded. According to the management of Northam Booysendal Mine, they will embark on other donations during Mandela Month.
