Dogs gnaw on aborted fetus

LYDENBURG – A fully formed fetus was discovered late Wednesday morning after dogs were dragging the little body from a sewerage spill in Mashishing’s Extension 8.

According to Anita Makakula, she made this gruesome discovery and immediately phoned the SAPS when she realised that what the dogs were dragging around was a small unborn child.

The hands and feet of the foetus were already gnawed off by the dogs. The fetus was already in an early stage of decomposition.

The fetus seems to have been the result of an illegally performed abortion at about four or five months into pregnancy.

The newspaper is awaiting feedback from the SAPS regarding the finding and more information will be disclosed as it is received.
