"Tubatse Ferrochrome is my main sponsor. They assisted with almost everything, including accommodation and meals. They have also afforded me a one-year contract to train at their Tubatse Residence Gym, which operates 24 hours."
Bodybuilder Patrick Chegofatso Moratho is back from competing in the SA National Bodybuilding Championships. He represented Limpopo in the bodybuilding competition held in Kempton Park last Saturday.
Moratho clinched third place in his category, winning a bronze medal for his efforts. “I went on stage with confidence, my stage weight on Saturday was 69 kilograms, which qualified me to compete in the category for senior men under 70 kilograms.”
Speaking to Steelburger/Lydenburg News after the event, he said he is waiting with high hopes to find out if he has qualified to represent the country in the South Korea Championships.

“I have crossed my fingers that I get the email from the Physical Culture Association South Africa (PCASA) which will confirm my participation in the Korea championships. If I do not make it, it will be a learning curve, and I will try again in the upcoming years.”
Moratho thanked sponsors such as Tubatse Ferrochrome, Pick n Pay Steelpoort and Resistance Pipes for assisting him in realising his dream of participating in national competitions.
“Tubatse Ferrochrome is my main sponsor. They assisted with almost everything, including accommodation and meals. They have also afforded me a one-year contract to train at their Tubatse Residence Gym, which operates 24 hours.”
He said with the support of his sponsors and other donors, he aims to excel in his bodybuilding career. “I will have the luxury of using proper equipment at their gym. With this kind of support, I am certain that I can make it to the top should I be selected for the international show. I am now aiming for first position in all my upcoming competitions.”
Moratho’s last show for 2019 will see him competing in Musclemania Africa. The competition will be held at Barnyard Theatre Rivonia in Johannesburg on September 21.
