Town cleaning a huge success

Thursday morning residents of Lydenburg helped to clean the town of illegal dumping sites and filthy streets.

This initiative, called Green Day, was the brainchild of Lydenburg/Mashishing Business Chamber. Wenakker’s residents also did their bit by cleaning alongside Buhrman Street and along the river and bridge in Viljoen Street. Laske Nakke also joined the cleaning campaign.
Chariman of the business chamber Etli van der Merwe also did not hesitate to also roll up her sleeves and join in the cleaning.
