Lydenburg primary AstroQuiz winners
A team of four pupils from Lydenburg Primary School (LPS) took part in the provincial AstroQuiz championship and were crowned winners in the Bohlabela district.
The competition took place at Penryn College, Mbombela on Sunday August 29.
The participants were from 21 primary schools all over Mpumalanga, who made it to the final round. It was the first-time qualification for LPS. The pupils were awarded medals, certificates and vouchers for participating in the district chamionships.
“Although we could not make it into the provincial top three, it is indeed a worthy achievement and we are proud of our team,” said the jubilant principal, Clara Shabangu.
Vulemehlo Primary School from Ehlanzeni district obtained position number one. They will represent Mpumalanga at the national championships held later this month in Pretoria.
