The best brandy is On the Rocks during #TheGreatNelspruitPostPubCrawl

Be sure to visit the On the Rocks Pub for #TheGreatNelspruitPostPubCrawl.

When business partners Arthur Moolman and Mellie Botha set up On the Rocks Pub in August last year, they envisioned a comfortable environment where visitors could have a few drinks over a game of pool.

To this end, they set up a business league where social players can test their skills on the pool table against one another. League games are played during weekdays on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The league has already expanded to include a number of Mbombela teams which meet at On the Rocks Pub on a weekly basis.

“We wanted an authentic bar feel with the pool tables as the drawcard to getting social players from all over to On the Rocks Pub.

“This has created a relaxed atmosphere where people can enjoy a friendly bar in which they can relax, unwind and enjoy a drink,” Botha said.

The establishment offers small bar lunches for patrons wishing to have a bite to eat while watching the players pit their skills against one another, or while enjoying the atmosphere and the company.
The house speciality is two doubles three-year-old KWV brandy and mix for a very low price which regulars enjoy.

For The Great Nelspruit Post Pub Crawl on Setember 28, the special will include a double of their famed drink and a Poncho shooter without having to break the bank.

This will be its first time participating in the annual pub crawl and Botha promises an experience in a laid-back environment, with an outside patio visitors will enjoy.

Included in the establishment’s special will be the typically South African vetkoek and mince, and a Lowveld favourite which is certain to go down a treat with pub crawlers.
