A crown for the Queens with Purpose
The honoured "queens" were handed crowns for their achievements. Speaking to the Steelburger/Lydenburg News, founder of Queens with Purpose, Thembi Maisela said they crowned ladies who take initiative by helping the needy, disabled and the young ones in the society.
BURGERSFORT – Inspirational, kind and dedicated women were honoured by the Queens with Purpose foundation.
The organisation honoured females who were making a difference in local communities. The event was hosted at Thaba Moshate Hotel Casino and Convention Resort recently.
The honoured “queens” were handed crowns for their achievements. Speaking to the Steelburger/Lydenburg News, founder of Queens with Purpose, Thembi Maisela said they crowned ladies who take initiative by helping the needy, disabled and the young ones in the society.
Those who won on the day were Makhanane Maluleke, chosen as Miss Queen with Purpose 2019 Jane Vilakazi was the first princess and Lerato Mohlala the second princess. The trio were handed cash prizes and gifts for winning the competition.
The winners are all involved with orphanages and disabled centres in Tubatse.

“I was touched to see that we have so many women in Sekhukhune who are devoted and willing to assist the needy and vulnerable. Most of them are getting nothing in return. They are volunteering daily,” Maisela said.
“Today, we are honouring them and thanking them for the good jobs they are rendering in and around Burgersfort,” she conluded.
According to Maisela, Miss Queen with Purpose will be held annually during August.
