The road is now open and traffic is slowly flowing. Stay alert in that area.
Several Whatsapp messages were sent around since yesterday that the road mentioned will be blocked. And as promised on the messages, unknown culprits covered the Spekboom Bridge with tyres and set them alight. Please make use of alternative routes as the R555 is totally blocked untill publication of this post at 06:33.

Good evening. I received message from Apiesdoring residents. They are planning an illegal strike at 02:00am tomorrow morning at Apiesdoring turnoff. R555 will be closed off. Please make travel arrangements.
