Ramaphosa advises on corona; local schools to close as per announcement
Shortly after the announcement, Laerskool Lydenburg confirmed that the school will close on set date.

LYDENBURG – President Cyril Ramaphosa has just announced that the country has been declared a state of national emergency.
This followed after 61 positive cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed.
Ramaphosa said that this includes a travel ban on foreigners from high risk countries as of March18. Visas have also been cancelled and domestic travel has been discouraged.
Schools around the country will close on March 18 until after the Easter weekend.
Shortly after the announcement, Laerskool Lydenburg confirmed that the school will close on set date.
Lydenburg Hoërskool announced that tomorrow will be a normal school day and that the governing body will issue a comprehensive statement on Tuesday.
