Uplands College selects nine of the best

Uplands College is pleased to announce the recipients of its Open Scholarship Awards, for pupils with exceptional talent entering the college in grade eight in 2021

A competitive field of aspiring candidates from 29 primary schools from Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West, Botswana, Mozambique and eSwatini wrote the Open Scholarship examinations on February 22.

 

Outstanding results were achieved which contributed to Uplands making the following nine Open Scholarship Awards:

  • Samuel McIntosh (Laerskool Mariepskop) is the recipient of a College Academic Award.
  • Gabriel Buchanan (Uplands Preparatory), Cameron Dance (Matshwane International Primary School) and Minet van den Ende (Uplands Preparatory) are the recipients of a College All-Rounder Award.
  • Luke Barnard (Uplands Preparatory), Nick de Zwart (Uplands Preparatory), Chanel Helena (Uplands Preparatory) and Kai Naylor (Middelburg Primary School) are the recipients of a College Sports Award.
  • Alana Spies (Penryn Preparatory) is the recipient of a College Cultural Award.
