Limpopo SAPS spokesman, Brig Motlafelo Mojapelo said the police received information about the suspects and conducted a sting in the Lebowakgomo policing area, which led to this breakthrough.

“The following items were recovered during the arrest: a laptop, three cellphones, an undisclosed amount of cash, 22 plastic bags full of dagga and a 50 kg maize meal bag full of dagga with an estimated street value of R50 000.

“More recoveries were made in one of the suspects’s residences. This included a plasma TV, three Sony speakers and a silver VW Golf sedan. Two large plastic bags of dagga worth thousands of rands were found concealed inside the vehicle,” revealed Mojapelo.

The suspects were driving in a Volkswagen sedan.

The provincial commissioner of the SAPS in Limpopo, Lt Gen Nneke Ledwaba, welcomed the arrests and applauded this team for their swift action.

The suspects are expected to appear before the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court soon. Police investigations are ongoing.
