Lydenburgers being screened for Covid-19

Screening of residents has commenced.

LYDENBURG – Screening for Covid-19 has begun in town.

Members of the Mpumalanga Department of Health are administering screening in Viljoen Street, but told the newspaper that they will be covering the whole of town as per regulation.

The members of the department are kitted out in white protective clothing and in possession of the necessary documentation. They do not ask entry into residential yards and household residents are requested to fill in a Covid-19 screening document, which in turn will be submitted to the department.

The department has called on residents to avail themselves for screening and possible testing.  The programme aims to assist in reducing the transmission of the virus, thus it is important to know one’s status.

The questionnaire that assists with monitoring Covid-19 through the Siyayinqoba Sisonke Vantage App is also available on the Mpumalanga Department of Health website.
