ZCC churches won’t be operating during level 3 of lockdown

POLOKWANE – The Zion Christian Church (ZCC) said it won’t be opening during Level-3 lockdown.
The ZCC’s Bishop His grace Dr BE Lekganyane announced on Thursday that they have taken a decision not to resume church services.
In a statement addressed to the public, Lekganyane said their churches will remain closed till further notice.
The church announced through a statement that was written in Sepedi.

“We would like to announce to all members that it is still early for our churches branches to operate,therefore all members are urged to wait for the announcement from Moria on when ZCC would resume with operations. “
On Monday, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that religious gatherings under strict regulations would be allowed when the country enters Level -3 on Monday.
“Churches, temples, mosques, synagogues, and other recognised places of worship will be allowed to resume services with a maximum amount of 50 people or less depending on the space available from 1 June, ” Ramaphosa revealed.

The ZCC is one of the biggest churches In Southern Africa and its headquarters are at Boyne in Polokwane .
