LHS matrics feel confident

As matrics across the country tackled their first Afrikaans exam of their finals on Friday, some Lowveld High School (LHS) pupils said the paper was easier than expected.

Matrics sat for their Afrikaans paper one (language paper) on Friday morning.

“There were definitely a few tricky questions, but overall I am not complaining,” said Lowveld High matric pupil, Aviwe Mbuli.

Another grade 12, Asiphe Keis, said she felt they had been prepared for the paper and that it went well. “It was good. We went through past papers and I think most of us were ready,” she said.

The schoolmates said now that their Afrikaans language paper had been completed, there were several upcoming exams they were a little nervous about.

“I feel that I am most prepared for my maths and accounting papers,” said Asiphe.

Aviwe said he was ready for his business exam while another LHS matric, Leigh Tsabetse, said he was most looking forward to the history papers.

The three said they also face exams they were dreading.

“I am not looking forward to my maths papers,” said Aviwe.

Asiphe said she was least looking forward to writing business. Aviwe said he was planning to study sport sciences when he was finished with matric, while Leigh said he wanted to go into law. Asiphe said she was hoping to study clinical medicine.
