Penryn College athletes push themselves to the limit

The best Penryn cheerleader was Andishwa Mapanga.

Siphesihle Nkundlane showed amazing physical and mental power when he won gold for Penryn College in the boys u/15 high jump at the BUCO Interhigh.

Four u/15 athletes jumped 1.65m at Hoërskool Nelspruit on Saturday.

The crossbar was set at 1.7m and Siphesihle was the only high jumper to clear it.

Penryn won the Percentage Trophy. This trophy is decided by dividing the total points a school earned by the number of pupils attending the school.

On the overall, final points table, Penryn finished seventh.

The best Penryn cheerleader was Andishwa Mapanga.

• Muzi Chirwa: Boys u/16 long jump – 6.58m
• Stephen Taylor: Boys u/19 javelin – 50.64m.

Bronze

• Tlangelani Ndlovu: Girls u/19 200m – 28.24s
• Muzi Chirwa: Boys u/16 high jump – 1.65m
• Stephen Taylor: Boys u/19 shot-put – 12.77m.
