Malelane Rugby Club weekend has crowd cheering

Malelane Rugby Club hosted a weekend full of action-packed rugby on March 25 and 26 where multiple friendly matches were played by various clubs to prepare for the rugby season.

It was the seventh annual edition of the rugby weekend since 2015, in which the rugby club had the privilege to entertain players and the public once again.

Various clubs from the Onderberg, Lowveld, Middelburg, Rustenburg and a club from Mozambique participated in the rugby weekend.

Spectators were allowed to enjoy live games, braais and social fun among friends and family. It has been more than two years since the last time spectators were allowed to support their teams in 2020. Big crowds were welcomed and enjoyed the live rugby they had missed so much.

The club appreciated all the support it received from the management, sponsors, players, supporters and participating teams. “Without them, the rugby weekend would not be possible. A special thanks to all staff who work over the weekend, it cannot be said enough,” said Adcock.
