Two people killed in attack outside Ohrigstad

A prominent guest house owner and a family member died in an attack. The police have launched a manhunt for the suspects.

The owner of a well-known guest house outside Ohrigstad (77) and a family member of hers (73) were killed during an attack on the premises on June 3 at about 13:00.
The police were informed by some community members about the incident at 13:30.
On their arrival at the scene, they discovered the bodiies in different houses on the property. They had been set alight.

According to the members of the community, a suspect wearing a balaclava had been seen fleeing the scene. It is suspected that more suspects are involved.

The motive for the killing is unknown. No arrests have been made.

“The police are condemning this brutal yet senseless attack and the subsequent killing. We call upon anyone with information to contact the police,” said Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, the Limpopo SAPS commissioner.

The investigations are still ongoing.
