Visit Jumanji Aquatics for all you fish friends’ needs

Jumanji Aquatics recently opened at The Village to provide for all your aquarium needs.

There’s a new go-to place in the city for anything fish-related – not to catch or to eat, but to keep. Jumanji Aquatics at The Village Shopping Centre opened its doors in September after moving from Middelburg, where they had been based since 2018.

Although the shop offers many pet accessories, foods, toys and more, Angelique Lamont, the manager, and her mother, Lynette, the owner, pride themselves on specialising in fish.

Their expertise comes from the courses they have taken over the years as well as invaluable personal experience. Walking into the shop, you are greeted with various animal products and 70 beautifully lit up fish tanks containing about 140 different species of fish.

Angelique said she would not say they are better than other establishments in the city, but she will say they do their utmost best to go the extra mile for you. They even have a WhatsApp group on which clients can ask for advice.

“If you called me on a Saturday and said, ‘Help! My tank broke!’ I will come into the shop and help you find a new one.” For a fish enthusiast, they have many options, and if you are only starting out, they have the knowledge to help you choose the right species for you. Not to mention the size of the tank to the food you will need and the maintenance involved with keeping your finned friends alive and thriving.

Don’t know what species can coexist in the same environment? Don’t worry, they have all the answers! How do you keep your tank clean? They’ve got you covered.

You will leave the shop with the necessary knowledge, but if you get home and have doubts, Angelique is a mere WhatsApp message away on 072 322 2308.

Aside from Angelique and Lynette, three other employees also know their stuff and will stand ready to assist where you need them.
