DCM spreads festive cheer with food hampers
The food parcels included basic food items such as maize meal, rice, cake flour and canned foods

As part of caring for local communities, Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine (DCM) made December a meaningful and memorable time for the Ngwaabe and Steelpoort areas.
During the festive season, DCM donated 218 food parcels to help bring relief, dignity and joy during the holiday period. The food parcels helped support households at a time when many families face increased expenses, ensuring that they could enjoy the festive season with some peace of mind.

This ongoing initiative highlights the organisation’s role in supporting the wellbeing of its host communities and strengthening relationships built on care and respect. By reaching out to those in need, the company showed its understanding of the challenges faced by many, and its willingness to offer meaningful support.

DCM is committed to making a positive and lasting impact, not only through its mining operations but also by contributing to the improved quality of life of people living in surrounding areas.
“There is no better time for giving than during Christmas and New Year. The festive season is not only for giving to friends and family, but also for helping those struggling in the community. It is the season for bringing joy to people in need,” said the DCM management.
