A video circulating on social media shows a horrific multi-vehicle crash on the N4 at the Buffalo Street intersection in Malalane that claimed the life of a truck driver on April 10.

In the video, a bakkie is seen slowly turning across the intersection into oncoming traffic. It appears to have misjudged the timing, resulting in a collision with an oncoming articulated truck, which then crashes into another truck in the opposite lane.

Frits Koekemoer of Nkomazi EMS confirmed that one of the truck drivers died in hospital. The occupants of the bakkie sustained minor injuries.
